Don’t Expect 3D Technology In The Galaxy S III – Or Any Other Samsung Phone For That Matter
3D technology has reared its 3-dimensional head inside the hardware of only the bravest of OEMs. HTC was the first to test the waters with their EVO 3D but it failed to impress, receiving only lukewarm reviews. Many have been speculating that the rumored Galaxy S III would include this “gimmicky” tech, however, Samsung confirmed today that it has no plans to manufacture 3D smartphones — period!
Samsung confirmed the news to Engadget in a statement:
Although Samsung Electronics is constantly exploring new technologies for our mobile devices, we have no immediate plan to include displays featuring 3D technology in our upcoming smartphones.
So there you have it folks. You can go ahead and forget those rumors of the Galaxy S III featuring 3D, or any other Samsung handset for that matter. It looks like the company is sticking with its Super AMOLED Plus displays for now (a smart move in my book).
So folks, do you think Samsung made the right decision to leave out 3D?
