Apple Music for Android is getting a brand new dark mode and time-synced lyrics support.

The two new features, which are scheduled to debut on iOS this fall, are available to those testing the beta version of the Android app.

Apple does a pretty decent job of keeping Apple Music for Android in line with its counterpart on iOS. The latest beta indicates Android users will enjoy the same improvements coming to iOS next month.

Apple Music for Android goes dark

The new dark mode makes Apple Music easier on the eyes when you’re listening to your favorite tracks in a dimly-lit room at night. And it works just as well as the dark mode in iOS 13.

The option inverts Apple Music’s color scheme, but intelligently differentiates things like images and text to prevent everything on-screen from going dark.

Time-synced lyrics support is even more impressive. Not only does it let you follow the words to a song in real-time, but it also lets you skip to certain parts of the track by tapping on specific phrases.

Apple Music will be the only music streaming service to offer this feature for lyrics when it debuts this fall. The likes of Spotify, Amazon, Google, and Tidal are yet to catch up.

The new Apple Music features are currently available in the latest beta release on Android, so you can try them out today if you’re already signed up.

Registration for the beta program appears to be full for now, so those who don’t already have access will have to try again later — or wait for the version 3.0 update to go public this fall.
