Apple Music for Android gets dark mode and more in big update
Apple Music for Android today sees a big update that adds a new dark mode, Chromecast support, and more.
The latest release brings the Android version of the app in line with its counterpart on iOS. Here’s what you have to look forward to.
Apple has been doing a great job of ensuring Apple Music subscribers on Android don’t have to wait too long for new features that debut on iOS.
Just days after making big improvements to Music in iOS 13, a new release brings much of the same treatment to the Android version of the app.
Apple Music goes dark
The update adds a brand new dark mode, which makes Apple Music easier on the eyes in dark environments. It can be toggled automatically based on system settings, and looks great on OLED screens.
Music subscribers also get Chromecast support, which lets you easily stream your favorite tracks and playlists to your TV, connected speakers, and other devices. Plus, you can now access live radio stations from around the world.
Finally, this update brings timed lyrics — one of the biggest changes in iOS 13. It shows you the words to your favorite songs, which move along as the track is playing.
Update today!
This Apple Music update is now available to all Android users. Go grab it today from the Google Play Store.
