Angry Birds Space, the latest title in the hugely successful Angry Birds series, has received its first update today, bringing 10 new levels, a golden “eggteroid” and more to Android and iOS. Those playing on an iPhone or iPad will also receive 20 free Space Eagles, plus one extra Space Eagle every day they play.

“A new moon rises and puts pigs in motion!”, the update’s description reads. “If you thought it was hard to pop pigs in space before, just wait til they’re orbiting around the icy planets in these 10 NEW LEVELS!” The new levels are part of a new episode named Fry Me To The Moon.

If the new levels weren’t already enough, those playing on iOS devices (sorry, Android readers!) will also receive 20 free Space Eagles just for updating, then one Space Eagle per day just for opening the game. This is a welcome gift for many players who have been disappointed by the whole Space Eagle currency in the latest Angry Birds title.

The update is available to download immediately from the App Store (iPhone/iPad) and from Google Play.
