Google’s newly updated Nexus 7 isn’t supposed to officially launch until July 30th but if you’re starving to get it now you can pick it up from a couple of retailers early.

Best Buy confirmed this morning that the Nexus 7 is available at all Best Buy stores now. Amazon has also started taking orders for the device on its website and is even offering same day delivery for it in some areas. Walmart appears to have received its initial stock as well.

Google’s wonderful new dongle has some really cool features, but have you wondered what kind of hardware is powering Chromecast?

Google’s secret weapon in the TV wars could hardly be more simple: It’s an inexpensive little dongle called Chromecast that’s designed to change the way you watch TV.

Chromecast does that by turning almost any smartphone, tablet or PC into a remote control on steroids. It’s ridiculously simple. And at only $35, it’s cheap as hell, which is precisely why Google thinks it’s the perfect device to take over your living room.

The new $35 device went on sale during Google’s San Francisco press event this morning with an original shipping estimate of one to two days, but now the ship date has been pushed back as far as August 7 for some shoppers.

Google-Sundar-Pichai

Google’s Sundar Pichai just got done hosting breakfast at a press event in San Francisco and even though our expectations weren’t high, the event was packed with awesome goodies. Not only did Google show off Android 4.3 and all the new features, but some seriously great hardware was announced too.

Here’s a rundown of all the new stuff Google presented:
