Google’s first attempt to revolutionize mobile payments didn’t work out so well. Nearly four years after introducing Google Wallet, the company announced at Google IO this morning that it’s replacing its first mobile wallet solution with a new app called Android Pay, and it basically works just like Apple Pay.

Foxconn has become one of the world’s biggest tech suppliers thanks to its close relationship with Apple assembling iPhones and iPads, but the Chinese company is looking to hedge its bets by investing in the competing Cyanogen operating system.

Now that the Samsung Galaxy S6 has finally gone on sale the Android world is turning its attention to LG’s new flagship smartphone, the G4.
We’ve seen a few glimpses of the leather-clad phone which will make its debut on Wednesday, and according to LG’s spokes person, it’s so gorgeous, even Steve Jobs would love it.
Google took the wraps off its new wireless network called Project Fi today, revealing that it will sell basic plans with talk, text, Wi-Fi, tethering and international coverage for just $20 a month.
Rather than building out its own infrastructure for the wireless network, Google is partnering with both Sprint and T-Mobile, and will allow customers to seamlessly switch between the two networks for the fastest connection available at your current location.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 is a giant iPhone 6 ripoff. And like Apple’s bigger-than-big devices, it also comes with some bending problems.
Tests have found that the Galaxy S6 Edge is just as easy to bend as the iPhone 6 Plus, only its display is even more likely to crack. Samsung finally responded today, claiming the 110 lbs of pressure used in SquareTrade’s tests were way more than would be exerted in real-world use. LG isn’t letting Samsung’s bendgate problems go unnoticed though.
