Transformer Prime: Hasbro’s hip toy or an ASUS tablet? That’s the confusion toy maker Hasbro hoped to eliminate when it set out to bar sales of ASUS Transformer Prime in a lawsuit filed last year. Today however that seems to be settled, as PaidContent reports that the judge has come back with a ruling, saying that Asus is clear to sell the tablet. The judge didn’t think that the name would cause confusion:

Developers of the popular stock Android music player alternative doubleTwist, have today released a welcomed update for the app. If you use Google Music to buy and store music, you’ll want to grab this update, as version 1.7.3 of doubleTwist adds support for offline tracks. Along with support for Google Music, doubleTwist for Android has also been given a few more nice updates:

Google has announced an update to its popular Google Maps for Android, bringing the app to version 6.5. The update adds a redesigned navigation home screen, crisper look on devices that have a higher pixel density, a faster experience, and more. The Maps team also announced some pretty interesting statistics about the app’s all-time usage.

Continuing to improve the Kindle Fire, Amazon has announced this evening a new update to the 7-inch tablet. Version 6.3 has just begun being pushed to devices and will arrive over-the-air shortly. The update adds an array of bug fixes, along with the ability to easily share favorite passages and notes from your books directly from Kindle Fire, without even leaving the Kindle app. Version 6.3 also features a few more updates.

Owners of the HSPA+ version of the Galaxy Nexus, GSM Nexus S, and Xoom Wi-Fi should be noticing Android 4.0.4 hitting their devices sometime this evening. The update, which just began rolling out earlier this afternoon, brings stability improvements, better camera performance, smoother screen rotation, improved phone number recognition, and more. Google announced the update on their Google Plus page, earlier this afternoon.
