Last week, we reported that a number of Galaxy Tab S users had been experiencing some serious overheating issues which caused the faux leather panel on the back of the tablet to warp and buckle. Samsung has today published an official statement with regards to this issue.
The South Korean company claims that the distortion of the backplate is not actually a byproduct of the processor getting too hot. It is, in fact, a problem with faulty back covers on the production line, which has now been rectified. Any customers with a defective tablet are asked to visit their nearest Samsung Electronics store where they will receive a replacement.
