As I’m sure most of you would agree, cloud-based applications and services play a huge role in the Android ecosystem. They are the foundations of the entire OS and can do some pretty amazing things, such as turning your device into a fully-functioning Sat Nav, creating a virtual aquarium for your dining room table/desk and lots, lots more.

However, you may not be aware that these applications don’t actually have to be downloaded onto your Android-powered smartphone or tablet through the built-in app store. They can, instead, be installed remotely on your handset via the official Play Store website.

Today’s app of the week, Nova Launcher, made its debut appearance on the Google Play Store last year and has been recognized as one of the most elegant, user-friendly, secure and feature-packed third-party launchers ever since. So, consequently, we’ve decided to bring it its very own review here at Cult of Android.

Samsung unveiled its latest flagship tablet, the Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2, back in June, 2013, and three months later the device was available to purchase from several retailers in the U.S. for a whopping $749. However, if you haven’t had the opportunity or the wherewithal to pick one up before now, it may interest to you to know that the popular online marketplace, eBay, is currently offering the device with a $350 discount.

A report has appeared online disclosing that HTC is currently in the process of designing its first ever smartwatch, with the name One Wear, as a rival to Motorola’s upcoming Moto 360. The wearable piece of technology was recently demoed at a private manufacturers event and is scheduled to hit the shelves somewhere around late August to early September.
