For today’s Secret Feature, we’re focussing our attention towards a very useful fitness tool bundled into the latest build of 4.4 KitKat. Believe it or not, Android includes native support for step recognition and step counters, which means that other fitness/health applications if downloaded will be notified when users are engaging in physical activity.

Today’s selection for our weekly Wednesday’s Must Have Game column is Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, which originally launched for the PlayStation 2 back in October, 2004, and was digitally remastered and uploaded to the Google Play Store for use on Android-powered smartphones and tablets in December, 2013.

Following the announcement of its latest budget friendly Android-powered smartphone earlier today, Motorola just pushed a new, exclusive application to the Play Store called Moto Alert, which is described as an emergency tracker that ‘alert’s people important to you when you need them.’

Google has added yet another case to its rapidly growing lineup of official accessories for its flagship smartphone of 2013, the Nexus 5. The ‘Snap Case’ retails for $29.99 directly from the Play Store in the U.S. and is available in either black, aqua, grey, white or clear.

The Moto G is one of the most impressive Android-powered smartphones on the market. It’s cheap, feature-packed as well as pleasing to the eye, but something it lacks is LTE compatibility — which is rather disappointing. However, it looks like that’s about to change. A recent online listing reveals that Motorola is in the process of manufacturing another variant of its reasonably-priced handset which is capable of handling universal LTE bands which you can preorder starting today for just $219.
