Google has started rolling out updates for its Google Camera and Gmail app bringing some minor usability enhancements to them. The update for Google Camera will allow users to use their Android Wear powered smartwatch as a remote shutter button for their smartphone or tablet’s camera.

Following the announcement of bringing its miniature flagship — the Z1 Compact — to the United States, Sony has also announced that its latest flagship tablet — the Xperia Z2 Tablet — will soon be landing exclusively on Verizon.

It has just been over a couple of weeks since Google released the Android L Developer Preview (DP) for the Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 (2013). While I was initially hesitant, I ultimately took the jump and flashed the developer preview on my Nexus 5, which is also my daily driver.

Below are my thoughts on the OS and whether you should take the effort of installing it on your Nexus device or not.

LG-KizON

It looks like LG plans on rapidly expanding into the wearables market. The company has just announced a new wearable device meant specifically for young toddlers — the LG KizON. The device does not feature any kind of a screen and is mainly meant as a tracking device so that parents can always know where their child is.

Sony-Xperia-Z1-Compact-1

Six months after it was initially announced, Sony has finally released the Xperia Z1 Compact in the United States. The handset will not be available via any carrier but instead users will directly have to shell out $550 to buy it unlocked from Sony’s own US web store.
