Right in the centre of the smartphone revolution is Qualcomm, whose processors and modems are found inside every major smartphone nowadays. The company has played a major role in making LTE a common feature in today’s smartphones and has constantly pushed the bar forward in mobile performance and battery life.

Qualcomm usually releases two major SoCs in a year, around which most OEMs plan their device launches. This year, Qualcomm unveiled the Snapdragon 801 at MWC, a seemingly minor upgrade over its predecessor — the Snapdragon 800. The successor of 801 though, dubbed Snapdragon 805, is slated to be released later this year and promises to push the bar in terms of performance in mobile devices even higher.

Apart from a fingerprint sensor, the Galaxy S5 also comes with a heart rate monitor located just below its 16MP camera on the back. Using the S-Health app bundled on the handset, users can monitor their heart rate and maintain a log for medial or other such purposes.

Now, in a recent update to S-Health, Samsung has added the ability to detect a users stress level. The feature makes use of the heart rate sensor and apparently depends on the changes in your heart beat to detect your stress levels.

LG-G3-teaser

Tomorrow, LG will be unveiling its latest flagship handset — the G3 — and the successor of one of the most under rated phones of 2013, the LG G2.  Thanks to a torrential amount of leaks, rumors and some teaser videos straight from LG, we already know quite a bit about the G3.

LG is once again going all out against the Samsung Galaxy S5, HTC One M8 and the Xperia Z2 by filling the G3 to the brim with features and innovations, including a never seen before laser sensor on the back .

So, what do we already know about the G3? Below is a quick rumor round-up of the device aggregating everything we know about it before its official unveiling tomorrow.

A couple of days ago, LG posted a trio of videos teasing the G3 and even giving us a glimpse of the handset itself. Today, it has posted another teaser video on YouTube teasing its “grip-ability”.

LG devices are known for having ridiculously small bezel space and if the video is anything to go by, the G3 is going to set the bar even higher (lower, actually).

GalaxyS4_value_edition More than a year after it announced the original Galaxy S4, Samsung has released the “Galaxy S4 Value edition” in certain regions of Europe. Rumors and leaks about the handset started appearing back in February, but for reasons unknown to us, Samsung decided to push back the handset’s release until today.

So, what’s the difference between the Galaxy S4 Value edition and the plain old Galaxy S4? Well, just about nothing.
