One-M8-front

A couple of days ago, Sprint and HTC unveiled a special Harman Kardon edition of the HTC One (M8) aimed at audiophiles that delivers better music quality and offers native FLAC playback support.

Now, thanks to the hard work of developer baadnewz, owners of the normal HTC One (M8) can also enjoy the Clari-Fi and LiveStage feature available on the Harman Kardon-edition One.

Google-Play-Store

April saw a bunch of quality apps land on the Play Store, including a couple directly from Google. The list includes a new email client from Dropbox, a new Twitter client with the potential to become Tweetbot for Android, an extremely popular automation app and more.

So, what are you waiting for? Read below to find out the best apps that were released on the Play Store in April.

Motorola’s Moto X might not have met with as much success as the company may have hoped for, even after receiving critical acclaim from many. Despite being 10 months old, the Moto X is an excellent handset with some unique features like Active Display and always-on voice recognition that makes it stand out from the latest high-end flagships from Samsung, Sony and HTC.

If you were waiting for an excellent deal to get your hands on the Moto X, now might just be the time as the company is offering the unlocked retail version of the handset for only $299 this mother’s day (i.e. today).

motorola-invite

After disrupting the market with the Moto G and Moto X last year, Motorola is all set to announce its first smartphone this year. The company has sent out invites for an event to be held on May 13th in London.

Don’t get all excited about a Moto X successor though. The invite image states that the smartphone is “made to last” and “priced for all” — a clear indication that it is going to be a low-end handset.

Galaxy-S5-in-water

Up until last year, the only popular OEM whose devices were water and dust-resistant was Sony. However, this year there has been an uptick in OEMs making their latest generation of smartphones water resistant and dust proof. The most notable ones include Samsung’s Galaxy S5 with an IP67 rating and the Sony Xperia Z2 with an IP58 rating. Even though the HTC One (M8) does not carry any IP rating, it can still survive under water for around 30 minutes easily.

So, what does the IP rating mean? What is the difference between an IP67 and IP57 rating? Read below to find out.
