International Data Corporation (IDC) released it’s quarterly report on worldwide tablet shipments Tuesday. The report states that the data tracking agency has lowered its expected forecast for growth in the tablet sector, which includes Android, iOS, and Windows tablets.

Tablet shipments are now expected to reach 221.3 million units this year, which is down from the agency’s earlier forecast of 227.4 million units. This new forecast is still 53.5 percent higher than last year’s unit shipment levels, however.

Dead Trigger 2, the sequel to heavily-downloaded hit zombie game, Dead Trigger, burst onto Google Play and the App Store late Wednesday night, bringing next-level graphics and gameplay to devices in your very pocket.

This first-person shooter has an all new touch control scheme that was created, says the developer, Madfinger Games, specifically for casual gamers. You’ll be able to use the virtual joystick, of course, and Android players can use supported game controllers. What’s interesting, however, is the new casual-gamer-style touch control scheme.

You’ll immerse yourself into a world where the humans are fighting the zombies, like you do. The game itself, however, is played out in real time on a global scale.

Google announced its latest Chromebook Tuesday, revealing the $279 HP Chromebook 11. It’s on sale now, and comes in white with Google-style color splashes. It looks a lot like Apple’s Macbook Air design, but is powered by Google’s own internet-centric Chrome OS.

If you live in a browser all day (preferably Google’s Chrome browser), this might be your next purchase.

In Friday’s Wall Street Journal paper edition, we found this amazing, multi-page Samsung advertisement section, showing off the Korean-based manufacturer’s Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear watch.

Check out the nine full pages below, and then just think about how much this must have run Samsung: in the US version of the paper, boasting a subscription base of 1.5 million, ad rates for a full-page color ad list at $312,283.13. Of course Samsung got a multi-page discount, but still. That’s a lot of cash.
