Skype for Android received a much needed update today, bringing the app to version 3.0. Changes made in the updated app include tablet optimization, improved audio, ability to sign in and merge with your Microsoft account, as well as the usual bug fixes.

Just over a week ago, Apple and HTC decided to end their patent disputes with a 10-year cross-licensing agreement. The specifics of the agreement were not disclosed, and as with all things that aren’t disclosed, it lead to rampant rumor mongering.

We’ve seen it grow from the once Android Market, with little in the way of apps, to the now Play store, full of apps, music, movies, books, and more.

During a roundtable session at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in London, world-renowned entrepreneur Elon Musk gave his opinions and impressions on a number of topics.
