It is common for rival manufacturers to take a dig at each other, especially when two companies are launching a smartphone at almost the same time. The President of HTC America did something similar by taking a jibe at the Samsung flagship which is launching in mid-April.

A renowned source of leaks on Twitter has revealed the existence of yet another smartphone, but this time a midrange offering from LG. The handset going by the Optimus Exceed 2 moniker is reportedly headed towards Verizon Wireless in the U.S. as the press image clearly indicates.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 is just over a couple of weeks away from officially landing in the markets. And Samsung has set up several outlets around the world offering previews of the flagship before it is officially available. UK retailer Phones 4U is the latest to join that list and users can now head over to 10 stores across the region to get their hands on the premier Samsung flagship.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 has just gone on sale in South Korea via local carriers ahead of the April 11 launch date. Carriers in the region are restricted from selling any devices after April, so this early launch was the only solution to avoid loss of sales.

The LG G2 Mini was announced last month as a smaller variant of LG’s popular G2 smartphone. The Korean manufacturer has now detailed the global launch of this smartphone with several markets including Russia and CIS countries expected to get it next month. This will be followed by Asia, Europe, Latin Americas and African countries.
