The CEO of Archos, Loic Poirier managed to make a serious faux pas during his live demo of the Quechua 5″ smartphone. This new handset is reportedly resistant to water splashes and comes with IP54 certification as well, which only provides immunity against accidental water spills and not complete submersion like the Samsung Galaxy S5 or the Sony Xperia Z2.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 was one of the most talked about handsets at the MWC, even overshadowing the likes of the Sony Xperia Z2 and LG’s G Pro 2 phablet. But the new Samsung flagship might remain in the news for a while longer as a report from Korea claims that the handset could cost lesser than most of its competitors in the industry.
According to Motorola’s Rick Osterloh, the Moto G is the company’s highest selling smartphone till date. The handset costs $179.99 and $199.99 for the 8 and 16GB variants, which has been very crucial in its success. The smartphone was launched on a global scale a few months ago with prime focus on developing regions of Asia, Europe and other continents.
Nokia certainly has big plans with its new trio of Nokia X devices as mentioned during the company’s keynote address yesterday. And the Finnish manufacturer has now spilled the beans on regions around the world which will receive the smartphone first.
