deals

‘Tis the season for deals! We’re fast approaching Black Friday, a dark day in humanity when Americans trample each other in an attempt to score a free Emerson DVD player. I’m certainly not interested in camping out in front of a store, however, I am interested in knowing what kind of deals will be offered on our beloved Android devices.

Amazon Wireless always offers up a great deal on some of the latest and greatest Android devices. In fact, they’ve just recently dropped the price of the LG Optimus G on AT&T and Sprint to a fantastic $99 with 2-year contract. That’s a cool $100 off the usual subsidized price for a device that’s essentially a souped up Nexus 4 (minus Android 4.2 and the stock experience). I’d take the Optimus G over the Nexus 4 any day and twice on Sundays if it had stock Android, and I’m betting there’s a bunch of you thinking the same thing.

Cloud storage service provider Box teamed up with LG a while back to offer up 50GB of free storage to those using LG phones and tablets in the U.S. running Android OS 2.1 and above (with display resolution of 320×480 or higher). Since that promotion doesn’t expire until December 31, 2012 and the Nexus 4 is an LG device, anyone in the US with a Nexus 4 is officially eligible for the free 50GB Box Personal account.

Last week we gave you a heads up on a sweet two-day T-Mobile promotion set to begin on the 16th. Today, we have the full details and if you haven’t already committed to a Nexus 4, you’ll want to check out what T-Mobile has to offer.

If you’ve been thinking about picking up a Samsung phone on T-Mobile, you now have one more reason to hold off. Aside from Black Friday, it appears T-Mobile is preparing a two-day sale on Samsung devices that is set to begin November 16th. While details are scarce, you can see a few of the Samsung devices pictured in the flyer above. It looks like the Galaxy S III will be included, however, there’s no sign of the Note II (we’re keeping our fingers crossed).
