Welcome to Monday’s Apps For Kids, a new Cult of Android feature where we take a look at kid-centric apps. Many of us are parents with kids who seem to know their way around our mobile devices better than we do. With the Android Market having over 400,000 apps, it can be quite a daunting task trying to find apps appropriate for our young tech enthusiasts. With Monday’s Apps For Kids, we hope to make that task easier by suggesting an array of topics and apps that have been kid tested and parent approved. So grab whatever crayon is lying around and get ready to write down a few apps worth checking out.

Last year’s Android Booth at Mobile World Congress was quite the spectacle. They had a two-story slide, OS flavored smoothies, and a ton of Android related tech and swag. We can’t wait to see what Google has in store for us this year as they’ve been teasing us with a countdown to the unveiling over at Android site. With only a couple days left, we’re going to take a look at what we can expect to see from various manufacturers and what to be on the lookout for. It should be an exciting event full of amazing devices and even sweeter Android treats.

The Dropbox beta build from earlier in the month is out of testing and now available in the Android Market. You’ll now have the ability to automatically upload your photos and videos to your Dropbox account should you want to. Other features include:

The Glu Mobile team will be on hand at this year’s Mobile World Congress to show off the latest Android Beam support for their hit freemium game Gun Bros Multiplayer. Thanks to Near Field Communication technology, users who have Gun Bros installed on their Android 4.0 device will be able to quickly initiate a multiplayer session by simply placing their devices back to back and tapping “Touch To Beam.” It can also be used to send a user directly to the Android Market to download the game if they don’t have it yet.

Google Docs for Android received a much needed update today. Users will be treated to a new Android editor, rich text formatting, and best of all, real-time collaborative editing. That’s right, just like the desktop version, users will now have the ability to invite others to collaborate on a document in real time. Now you can pretend you’re working in the office while you’re actually laying on the beach enjoying a mimosa.
