Rovio is at it again, this time with an Angry Birds Seasons update to celebrate the Chinese New Year and the beginning of the Year of the Dragon. In this blockbuster franchise update, our favorite angry aviators are allying themselves with the mythical mighty dragon to help thwart the imperial swine from swiping their offspring. This new theme features popping fireworks, glowing lanterns, and red envelopes bursting with money — all in celebration of China’s biggest and longest festival.


You see that alien looking band permeating through the aurora borealis? No, that’s not a UFO looking for fuel, it’s actually Nike’s latest fitness accessories made for today’s connected world. Nike wants to remind us that “Life is a sport, make it count,” and that’s exactly what the Nike+ FuelBand does — count. It counts your calories burned, steps taken, time, as well as a variety of other activity.


The official Wikipedia App hit the Android Market last week and somehow slipped past most people’s radar. If you were lucky enough to have found out about it before the SOPA blackout yesterday, you were treated to Wikipedia access via the app, while most everyone else remained in the dark. At least we know about it now, and I’m sure there are quite a few people who have been waiting on an official app for Android. Google+ continues to get better by the day, and as they continue to add features, we slowly see them trickle into the mobile app. Today the Google+ team was happy to announce two new features that will be available in the mobile app: What’s Hot stream and seeing who +1’d a post. DotEmu prides itself on bringing retro games back to life, and yesterday they announced they’d be bringing the cult classic Another World (Out Of This World to us in North America) to Android with the 20th Anniversary Edition. While the game has been available on iOS since September of 2011, it’s expected to hit Android in the next few months.
