What perfect timing. We were just talking about how the LG Spectrum (aka LG Optimus LTE) had surpassed over 1 million units sold. Of course that was mostly in Korea, as the LG Spectrum just hit shelves here in the US. Well, we have some good news for any of you interested in getting this hot device as Amazon Wireless is now offering the Spectrum for $80 when you sign up for a new two-year contract. That’s $80 for a 1.5GHz dual-core LTE device! Try beating that price.


Sprint continues its Carrier IQ eradication, with the Samsung Epic 4G Touch being the latest to receive a security update. In case you hadn’t heard, Verizon is holding a Galaxy Nexus 4X4 giveaway over the next few days, giving you a chance to win a brand new Galaxy Nexus. The giveaway is being held on Twitter, so if you don’t care for Twitter, there’s no need to read any further. The contest started today and will run until 11:59:59 pm ET on January 27, 2012. It will be broken down into four phases, each with a chance to win four Galaxy Nexus devices (4X4). It seems to be US only but you can reread the official rules to make sure. It’s officially official, Verizon has announced that the date we’ve all been speculating about, will in fact be the launch date for the DROID RAZR MAXX. This Thursday, January 26th, the DROID RAZR MAXX in all of its 3300mAh glory, will be available on Verizon for the starting price of $299 with a two-year contract. We all know this is what the original RAZR should have been, and it’s a shame Verizon had to once again, screw their customers.
