It’s no secret that I have a soft spot for robots, especially our adorable little Bugdroid. That’s why I had to get my hands on the ROBO iHome Ri-26 from eKids. I’ve never owned a desktop/portable speaker (I use two Mackie SRM450 speakers I have leftover from my DJ days – wowzers) so I was extremely curious to see what kind of sound could come out of a speaker so tiny.

eKids has a reputation for bringing cute and colorful iHome products that appeal to our inner child and ROBO is no different. It’s small, portable, adorable, rechargeable, and comes in an assortment of colors. The important question is how does it sound? Well, we’ll get into that and other things in the review so read on and see if ROBO should have a place alongside all your other Android accessories.

If you were planning on picking up the new DROID RAZR HD from Verizon and also plan on paying full retail to keep your unlimited data plan, you might as well purchase the Developer Edition from Motorola. Motorola is now selling the Developer Edition of the RAZR HD on its website for $599.99. You get all the same spec minus a locked bootloader.

Last week we caught wind of a soak test going out to Bionic users and speculated that it had to be Ice Cream Sandwich. Well… it was and it’s been approved by Verizon. You’ll now find the support documents for the Ice Cream Sandwich update located on Verizon’s support page which means a release is right around the corner. It’s pretty safe to say Bionic users have written off Motorola at this point, but perhaps a little Ice Cream Sandwich will ease the pain until they become eligible for an upgrade.

The last time we saw the Iconia Tab, Acer was showing it off at Computex. At the time, the A110 was slated to be a sub $200 7-inch Ice Cream Sandwich tablet that I fully expected to hit shelves before the Nexus 7. That obviously didn’t happen, and since then, it has gained Jelly Bean and an official release date of October 30.

Just a quick heads up for any of you looking to pick up the DROID RAZR HD or RAZR MAXX HD. Both devices are set to go on sale after midnight tonight. If you’re frantically refreshing Verizon’s website, I ask you to stop for a moment and consider an alternative — Wirefly.
