Verizon is certainly the king of launch delays, and while they are already going to be the last of the major U.S. carriers to launch the Samsung Galaxy S III, it appears they’ve pushed that date back one extra day. Is one more day really a big deal? Not really, but given Verizon’s track record, one has to wonder: “will one day turn into two, or three, or seven days?”

Samsung has announced it will be launching their own programmable NFC tags to go along with the release of the NFC enabled Samsung Galaxy S III. NFC (Near Field Communication) is still a bit of a mystery to some people and Sammy hopes to clear things up by showing consumers how they can help automate their lives with their new TecTiles and an NFC enabled device.

It was a sad day for all non-humans when Samsung announced that the Galaxy S III was “designed for humans,” and while they remained hopeful, Samsung’s latest TV ad puts the kibosh on those dreams. Sorry you cute furry animals, the Samsung Galaxy S III is still “designed for humans.” I hate to rub it in, but here’s how the Samsung Galaxy S III will be used to enrich the lives of your higher-evolved cousins.

“Would the owner of a T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II please report to the Kies service desk at 11 p.m. EST,” “you have an Android 4.0.3 update waiting for you.”

That’s right, the T-Mobile Galaxy S II is set to receive Android 4.0.3 tonight, and although it isn’t Android 4.0.4, it’s still Ice Cream Sandwich, so I’m sure you Galaxy S II owners won’t be complaining — much.

Wirefly, my other favorite mobile retailer, has a nice offer for anyone looking to pick up a Verizon 4G LTE smartphone. Now through June 14, anyone who upgrades or activates a Verizon 4G LTE smartphone through Wirefly will receive a $40 bill credit. You can activate and receive the discount on up to five 4G LTE devices for each qualifying line.
