It looks like Google and ASUS have some competition in the sub-$200 quad-core tablet market. Acer was apparently looking to be first out of the gate when they unveiled their sub-$200 7-inch Tegra 3 Iconia Tab A110 at Computex the other day. Featuring Android 4.0, 1GB of RAM, a microSD card slot, front-facing camera, and a HDMI out port with dual-display support, the Iconia Tab A110 looks to give the Nexus tablet a run for its money.

You may remember the brief delay HTC devices suffered after being held up at Customs thanks to an investigation into whether or not HTC had was in violation of a patent infringement ruling Apple won against them back in December. Well, the ITC decided everything was kosher and the HTC One X and EVO 4G LTE were given the go ahead for entry. Apparently Apple isn’t too happy about it and has now filed a complaint seeking a full ban of HTC devices coming in as well as those already on store shelves.

Alas, a Google TV update. While it’s pretty minor, it adds a couple video services, that frankly, should have already been added. The update has begun rolling out to Sony Google TV devices — with Logitech Revue devices next on the list. If you own either of these, it’s time to dust them off and keep an eye out for the update, which will bump you up to version 2.1.1 and give you the ability to watch:

Google has announced its acquisition of leading mobile office solution Quickoffice. Quickoffice has proved to be one of the most powerful mobile office suites available and has shared success across multiple mobile platforms including Android and iOS. It’s tough to tell what Google has planned for the office suite but we’re sure it involves Google Docs, Google Drive, and a host of other productivity apps.

There’s no telling what the future will hold for the Quickoffice suite currently on iOS, as well as platforms other than Android — but one has to wonder: will Google simply kill them off or keep them after they integrate its features into their own apps? Details are bit scarce at this point but we’ll keep you updated.

Looks like Google is on another acquisition kick, as they’ve been scooping up companies left and right over the past month. We certainly welcome this latest addition and look forward to the Quickoffice integration.

HTC One S users can expect a maintenance update from T-Mobile to hit their devices soon. It started rolling out yesterday and will continue making the rounds until July 7. That’s a pretty big update window, so don’t freak out if you don’t see it for a while. The update will be pushed OTA and according to T-Mobile there is no manual update option at this time.
