Sprint has nixed its 5GB/$29.99 mobile hotspot add-on for mobile phones and tablets in favor of a two-tier system. Sprint customers will now have a choice between a 2GB/$19.99 a month plan or 6GB/$49.99 a month plan. These new offerings should give customers more choice to better fit their mobile hotspot needs. Customers can also enroll in Sprint’s MHS notification program to be notified when they reach 75, 90 and 100 percent of their on-network monthly data limit.

The ASUS Transformer Pad 300 received a much welcomed update over the weekend, bringing it to build 9.4.3.29. Included in this latest update is the snazzy Face Unlock, battery usage details, and considerable performance enhancements. Users will appreciate the performance improvements, which finally address some of the annoying lag issues.

T-Mobile has announced the availability of a certain tasty treat for HTC Amaze 4G owners. That’s right, Android 4.0 aka Ice Cream Sandwich, is now available for the HTC Amaze 4G. To check for the update, simply go to Menu > Settings > About Phone > HTC Software Updates > Check. Follow the instructions and you’ll be on your way to enjoying the latest and greatest version of Android.

Unless you have an ASUS device, you’re probably waiting to be updated to Android 4.0. While Motorola did manage to bring Ice Cream Sandwich to the XOOM, they’ve left the rest of their devices in update limbo. In an effort to calm user frustration, Motorola has updated their Ice Cream Sandwich schedule — as if that helps. It appears the RAZR brand will see Android 4.0 sometime in Q2, while the DROID 4 won’t be seeing Ice Cream Sandwich until Q3.
