You know those “awesome new features” ASUS was teasing, looks like their Italian fratelli have spoiled the surprise. They’ve gone ahead and spilled the meatballs on features such as Face Unlock, notification controls from the lockscreen, and more. The full list includes:

Owners of the HSPA+ version of the Galaxy Nexus, GSM Nexus S, and Xoom Wi-Fi should be noticing Android 4.0.4 hitting their devices sometime this evening. The update, which just began rolling out earlier this afternoon, brings stability improvements, better camera performance, smoother screen rotation, improved phone number recognition, and more. Google announced the update on their Google Plus page, earlier this afternoon.


ASUS took to Facebook yesterday to tease an impending update for the Transformer Prime. According to them, the firmware update will have some “awesome new features,” and I have to say, they have me biting my fingernails in anticipation.


Last week Motorola was prepping a mysterious “soak test” for Motorola XOOM WiFi users. It now appears Motorola was getting ready to release Android 4.0.4 as they are sending emails out to let owners know. There’s no mention of when the update will begin rolling out but given the email, it should be soon. The update includes quicker screen rotation, camera improvements, improved stability and more. After much testing and a 3-month Alpha run, BlueStacks has announced the availability of the beta-1 version of their App Player for PC.
