The Galaxy Note 10.1 is about to get a little brother.

Samsung Mobile vice president JK Shin has confirmed to a Korean news outlet that the company will unveil the Galaxy Tab 8.0 at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next month. The device, which is believed to be an iPad mini competitor, is expected to offer an 8-inch display with a 1280×800 resolution, coupled with a 1.6GHz quad-core processor.

Forget all the gadgets that you’ve seen coming out of CES over the past few days, this is by far the best you’ll see this week. Chad Boughton has taken one of Nintendo’s original Game Boy handhelds and turned it into something useful — a game controller for his Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Pebble-smartwatch

We’ve been itching to get our hands on the Pebble smartwatch since it first hit Kickstarter, but that wait will be over later this month. At CES in Las Vegas today, Pebble CEO Eric Migicovsky announced that the device has now entered mass production, and that shipping will begin on January 23.
