Samsung is in the midst of pushing out a largely-requested firmware update for the U.S. version all of its Galaxy Gear smartwatch. This upgrade brings users the ability to activate “Expanded Notifications”, in addition to the usual deluge of bug fixes, stability improvements and speed optimizations that the South Korean company bundles into all of its maintenance updates.

If Santa forgets to drop by your neighborhood this year, it may be because he’s been too busy selling the Galaxy Gear for Samsung. Saint Nick promotes the “miracle” smartwatch’s built-in camera, its ability to take calls, and other features in a new one-minute ad uploaded to Samsung’s YouTube channel.

We may have laughed at the original Galaxy Note for its massive 5.3-inch display when Samsung first announced it back in 2011, but like the flagship Galaxy S series, it’s been a huge success. Now in its third generation, the device has sold over 10 million units in just two months.

It has taken T-Mobile some time to get its act together, but today the carrier finally began rolling out its Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for the Samsung Galaxy Note II. It weighs in at around 614MB, and you’ll be able to download it over-the-air or via Samsung’s KIES application for Mac and PC.

Samsung has today resumed its rollout of the Android 4.3 update for the international Galaxy S III (GT-I9300). The rollout was halted last month when users reported numerous issues with their devices after updating, but those should have been resolved in the latest release.
