Rumor has it the South Korean company is now developing its own virtual reality headset that will work alongside Galaxy devices — and it is desperate to get the product to market before Facebook and Sony launch theirs.

Samsung has just made a major celebrity signing in the form of Boston Red Sox star David Ortiz. Expectedly, the MLB star made full use of this as he posed for a selfie using his Galaxy Note 3 with the U.S. President Barack Obama only a day after he closed the deal with Samsung. The Korean manufacturer signed a similar deal with TV star Ellen DeGeneres who was part of the ‘most retweeted photo ever’ at the recently held Academy Awards function.
