Samsung kept us waiting a long, long time for the Galaxy S III. We expected it to arrive at CES 2012 back in January, and when that didn’t happen, we hoped for a release at Mobile World Congress the following month (which Samsung didn’t bother turning up to). As it turns out, the Korean company’s flagship smartphone didn’t get its grand unveiling until May.

We may not be in for the same wait next time around, however. Samsung is already teasing “something new” for CES 2013, sparking speculation that the Galaxy S IV will be arriving as early as next month.

Samsung began rolling out its Android 4.1.2 “Premium Suite” upgrade for the Galaxy S III earlier this week. Starting in Poland, the software will make its way to all international Galaxy S III handsets over the coming weeks. While you’re waiting, you can check out all of the new features it brings — including Page Buddy and Multi Window — with Samsung’s new Premium Suite demonstration video below.

A leaked Sprint holiday ad has outed an upcoming deal that some of you may want to take advantage of. Starting this Friday, December 7, and running through December 24, Sprint will be offering BOGO (Buy One Get One) deals on select Samsung Galaxy smartphones.

The Galaxy S III continues to receive new features.

International Samsung Galaxy S III handsets have begun received the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update this week, which introduces a number of new features to this year’s hottest Android smartphone. In addition to the new “Multi-View” multitasking feature — which originally made its debut on the Galaxy Note II — users can look forward to a redesigned Gallery app, a customizable notification panel, and more.

Together as one.

For us gamers, the great thing about having a smartphone in your pocket all day every day is that you’re never too far away from your next fix of Angry Birds or Grand Theft Auto 3. The thing is, some games — first-person shooters, in particular — work better with physical controllers.

The creators of GameKlip have recognized that, and they’ve put together this mount that connects your Android smartphone to your PlayStation 3 controller. It’s terrific — if you don’t mind rooting.
