Nova Launcher, one of the most popular third-party launchers for Android, has a new beta release out today, which includes a number of new features and tweaks for Android 4.4 KitKat. In addition to transparent status and navigations bars, the update adds KitKat’s new home screen page indicators and app drawer icon, its folders, its font, and lots more.

After Android 4.3 Jelly Bean arrived on the Galaxy S III last month, Galaxy Note II users have been eagerly anticipating an update of their own. And although it hasn’t quite made its way into consumer hands yet, it looks like it is close, with Samsung service centers now getting the release.

Samsung has today begun rolling out its Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update to the international Galaxy S III (GT-I9300), just weeks after the update was made available to Galaxy S4 owners. The release brings a whole host of new features and improvements, including Galaxy Gear support, the ability to move apps to the SD card, and lots of user interface updates.

Samsung’s flagship smartphones have been a big success ever since the hugely popular Galaxy S II, so it’s no surprise to see the latest is doing well. Since making its debut back in April, the Galaxy S4 has surpassed 40 million sales worldwide, according to Samsung CEO JK Shin.
