Samsung has today begun rolling out its Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update to the international Galaxy S III (GT-I9300), just weeks after the update was made available to Galaxy S4 owners. The release brings a whole host of new features and improvements, including Galaxy Gear support, the ability to move apps to the SD card, and lots of user interface updates.

If you have a newer Nexus device, or the Google Edition Galaxy S4 or HTC One, then you won’t have to wait too long for the Android 4.4 KitKat update. But it’s safe to say everyone else is in for a lengthy wait. If you’re already feeling impatient and you want a bite of that KitKat early, then you may be interested to hear you can download and install the new launcher now.

Google may not be bringing Android 4.4 KitKat to the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, but it’s still supporting newer Nexus devices. So you’re probably wondering when the update will be coming to your Nexus 4, Nexus 7, or Nexus 10. Well, Google hasn’t given us a specific release date yet, but it has said “soon.”

The Google Play editions of the Galaxy S4 and the HTC One are on its list, too.

Given Google’s apparent disregard for secrecy when it comes to the new Nexus 5, you won’t be surprised to see that the device is already being unboxed all over the globe ahead of its official unveiling.

We already know what it’s going to look like and almost every piece of hardware that’s packed into it, of course, and now we get to take a sneak peek at some of the new features built into Android 4.4 KitKat, too — including an “iCloud for Android” backup service.

Sprint has begun rolling out its Android 4.3 update for the Samsung Galaxy S4, just a day after the update was made available to users on Verizon.

The update weighs in at a whopping 537MB, and it’ll be available to download over-the-air. In addition to Android 4.3 and all the improvements that come with it, this update adds Galaxy Gear support, KNOX functionality, and more.
