Google and Motorola went all out with the Nexus 6 to make it as good as flagship rivals from other manufacturers, but their super-sized handset could have been even better.

The device was set to get a fingerprint scanner, according to former Motorola CEO Dennis Woodside, but the plan had to be scrapped when Apple bought the best supplier in the industry.

The Galaxy S6 rumors are coming in thick and fast today, but this one could well be the juiciest so far. If a list of all the specifications Samsung has crammed into its next-generation flagship doesn’t get you super excited for its launch, then I don’t know what will.

At this point we’re expecting a lot of great things from the Galaxy S6 — including stellar specifications and an all-new design. But like any other smartphone, it won’t be perfect. According to a new report, Samsung’s next-generation flagship will drop one of the features that made the Galaxy S5 so great: water-resistance.

Samsung is looking to deliver a more fluid software experience with the Galaxy S6 having finally listened to our complaints about TouchWiz. One of the ways in which it will do that is with a more streamlined operating system, but sources say the South Korean company is also going to max out the handset’s specifications as well just to be sure.
