Stagefright fixes are incoming!

It may have taken them a little while, but manufacturers have begun rolling out important fixes for the Stagefright vulnerability that allows hackers to take over million of smartphones with a single text message.

In addition to Google’s own Nexus handsets, updates are also being issued to a number of Samsung’s latest Galaxies, and will be coming soon to the Idol 3 from Alcatel Onetouch.

A removable battery and microSD card slot are two things we’ve long associated with Samsung devices, but since the South Korean company killed them both for the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge, long-time Galaxy Note fans have been worried they’re in for the same treatment.

Now new images of the Galaxy Note 5 confirm those fears.

Samsung recently confirmed that it will “adjust” its pricing of the Galaxy S6 series in an effort to boost sales after another disappointing quarter — and now one report claims its new prices will come into affect on August 1. Buyers can expect to see reductions of around $100 across the board.

Samsung is set to announce its new Galaxy Note 5 on August 13, and it will be hoping it can help reverse its declining profits. The South Korean company certainly shouldn’t receive any complaints about the handset’s design, which looks to be just as pretty as that of the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge.

Samsung has announced it will “adjust” its pricing for the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge in an effort to boost sales after confirming another disappointing quarter.

The South Korean company’s new profit fell 8 percent to 5.75 trillion won ($4.93 billion) year-on-year during Q2 2015, while sales fell 7 percent to 48.5 trillion won ($41.7 billion).
