Speaking in front of an audience at TED today, Google co-founder Sergey Brin made a bizarre pitch for buying his company’s wearable Google Glass headset, essentially by arguing that product utilizing one of his company’s biggest projects — Android — were effeminate and made for wussies.

When we first saw Google’s Glass project, we were fairly skeptical that A) it would work as advertised, B) not make you look like some maxiod cyberborg super dweeb. We still have reservations about both of those problems, but using Project Glass looks freaking awesome.

Google just released a video this morning that shows what the UI is going to look like for people who are willing to shell out $1500 for some fancy Google branded eyeglasses. I could describe all the magical features for you, but here, just watch the video below:

Google has today announced two two-day hackathon events for customers who pre-ordered the Explorer Edition of Project Glass. The events, dubbed Glass Foundry, will be held in San Francisco and New York, and they’ll give developers the opportunity to become the first group to collectively build software for the upcoming device.
