Google’s annual I/O conference will be officially open for registration on March 13th at 7 am PST. The event will be held at the Moscone Center in San Francisco and last from May 15th through the 17th. Google announced the conference dates back in December.

Ticket prices haven’t been revealed yet, but they will assumedly be around $900 like they were in 2012.

Mobile chip maker Qualcomm has inadvertently confirmed the spring unveiling of Key Lime Pie — the next-generation of Android — in a leaked document that details the development of Google’s platform. We had expected Google’s announcement to come at Google I/O in May anyway, but this should quash any doubts you may have had.

Google is said to be preparing a second-generation Nexus 10 tablet for Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next month. The device will reportedly offer a quad-core processor and faster graphics, making it a significant improvement over its predecessor — which was only launched last November.

Yes, it’s only December, and no, it’s never too early to start thinking about the next Google I/O. Grab your permanent markers and X off May 15-17 on your calenders. Wait a minute… what am I talking about, no one uses paper calendars anymore.
