Google had some great announcements for the future of Google TV. Not only have they partnered with four of the top TV manufacturers to bring a new generation of Google TVs, but they also announced how more content will be making its way to your Google TV later this summer.
Alas, a Google TV update. While it’s pretty minor, it adds a couple video services, that frankly, should have already been added. The update has begun rolling out to Sony Google TV devices — with Logitech Revue devices next on the list. Customers in the U.S. have been able to purchase various versions of the Google TV for about a year now from various OEMs, but according to a new report, the Google TV is launching in Europe this September. The first devices across the pond will be from Sony and will include a €200 ($266) set-top box and a €300 ($399) set-top box featuring a Blu-Ray player.
