Remember that recent Samsung patent that detailed a new smartphone, believed to be a future Galaxy Note, with a wraparound display? Well designer Jermaine Smit has turned Samsung’s illustrations into a gorgeous Galaxy Note 4 concept that looks so good it almost guarantees the real thing will be a disappointment.

On Thursday, January 2, a well-know accurate leaker posted a set of “preliminary” specifications on Twitter for HTC’s upcoming M8, which is expected to be the successor to the Taiwanese company’s flagship smartphone of 2013, and just yesterday a familiar developer published a report which has a close similarity to some of the specs that have been brought to our attention over the course of the past few weeks.

Sadly, Christmas Day has n0w come to an end, but at least we have the Boxing Day sales to wake up to! Starting today, Thursday, December 26, 2013, Amazon U.S. is offering the unlocked version of HTC’s current flagship smartphone, the One, with a discounted price tag of $480.00 — that’s a whopping reduction of $169.99 off the usual price.

The popular British independent communications retailer, Phones 4u, have published details for what it refers to as its post-Christmas sale, scheduled to take place on Thursday, December 26. The press release states that a range of Android-powered smartphones will face significant price reductions.

Word has it that, Sprint is in the middle of pushing out a minor over-the-air update to all its carrier-branded HTC One devices registered in the United States. Sadly, this upgrade doesn’t bring any major software developments, such as Android 4.4 KitKat, but it does include a couple of requested stability improvements, one of which being a fix for the annoying issue that repeatedly occurred informing users that an “invalid” SIM card was inserted and the other being HD voice enhancements.
