Facebook Home hit Google Play on Friday, but it only comes with support for a small handful of devices initially — and those devices have to be located inside the United States. But as is often the case when it comes to Android, there is a workaround.

HTC has confirmed that the HTC One Developer Edition handset will be available to purchase on April 19 in the United States, priced at $649. Unlike the regular model, this one comes with an unlocked bootloader and SIM, in addition to open APIs. It also offers 64GB of storage as standard.

The wait is nearly over for those of you down under. You will soon be able to get our hands on the HTC One. If you’re disappointed that your HTC One didn’t come with a microSD card slot, then you’re going to be extremely jealous of users in China. Not only will the device have a removable back cover and a microSD card slot when it launches there, but it’s also have two SIM card slots as well.
