Huawei-Ascend-G615

Despite announcing a number of new smartphones at CES just two weeks ago, Huawei has more handsets up its sleeve. In Germany today, the company announced the Ascend G615, another high-end smartphone with a 4.5-inch 720p display, a quad-core processor, and an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera.

Huawei unveiled a number of new smartphones at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas last week, but it appears the Chinese company may have another device to bring us in the coming months. A press photo, including specifications, has been leaked for the Ascend P2. While it’s not the flagship Ascend D2, it still looks to be a very impressive handset.

This year’s Consumer Electronics Show has already seen the unveiling of several impressive Android handsets, including the Sony Xperia Z, the Huawei Ascend D2, and the Pantech Discover. But we haven’t quite seen them all yet. Lenovo just announced a new smartphone of its own, and it’s quite a looker. Equipped with a 5.5-inch 1080p display, the K900 is yet another “phablet,” but unlike the rest, this one’s equipped with an Intel Atom processor.

Huawei has already confirmed that it has a number of new handsets lined up for CES 2013 next week, two of which will be powered by Android. The Ascend D2 is arguably the most exciting one, and as you can see from its leaked press shot above, it’s a very good-looking device. In fact, its chamfered silver bezel with embedded white antennas make it look a lot like Apple’s white iPhone 5.

On Tuesday, Chinese gadget maker Huawei confirmed it would be announcing the Ascend D2, a new Android-powered smartphone, at the Consumer Electronics Show in early January. But you don’t need to wait until then to see it, because the device has already been revealed in a number of leaked photographs, courtesy of the Chinese FCC.
