After months of speculation surrounding a Huawei-made Nexus, the Chinese company has finally confirmed it is working with Google on a smartphone, according to a new report.

The device is expected to make its debut “later this year,” and Huawei is hoping it will help improve its reputation and familiarize consumers with its brand in the West.

Google will attempt to reverse declining Nexus sales with the launch of two new smartphones in 2015, according to a new report. The devices are expected to come in different sizes to appeal to a larger number of consumers, but they may not be accompanied by a new Nexus tablet.
