Motorola is currently in the process of pushing out a largely-requested update via Google Play for the official Moto X, Moto G, Droid Maxx, Droid Ultra and Droid Mini camera applications. This upgrade brings users the ability to take photos by simply pressing the built-in hardware volume rocker, in addition to a handful of speed enhancements and bug fixes.

Late yesterday afternoon, Motorola updated its official Assist app on Google’s Play Store, which is sadly currently only available to download on the following smartphones: the Moto X, the Droid Ultra, the Droid Mini and the Droid Maxx. The Motorola Assist app brings users exclusive added functionality that they would not usually receive as standard on their Android-powered handsets, and now, thanks to this update, users will be able to have multiple calendars monitored throughout their day-to-day life.

AT&T is now rolling out the much awaited Android 4.4.2 update for the Moto X smartphones running on its networks. The new software comes a bit late in the day, even compared to other carrier variants in the U.S., but owners of the handset will be glad it has finally arrived.

Seven months after launching in the U.S., the unlocked variant of Motorola’s current flagship smartphone, the Moto X, is now available in India as from today, Wednesday, March 19. According to Motorola’s VP of Product, Punit Soni, potential customers will be able to purchase the handset in either black or white for exactly ₹23,999 Indian Rupees — which roughly equates to $390.

Motorola pushed out a fairly minor update for its very popular Active Display application earlier today. Sadly, the app is a Motorola exclusive and is currently only available to download on the Droid, Ultra, Mini, Maxx and Moto X, though, recent rumors suggest that the Google-owned company will be expanding compatibility to some of its other smartphones in the not-too-distant future.
