If you’ve got a Nexus 4 or 2012’s Nexus 7, there’s no need to worry about upgrading your hardware to get Android 5.0 Lollipop. Google has confirmed that both of these devices will be receiving its latest software update, along with the Nexus 5, last year’s Nexus 7, and the Nexus 10.

NVIDIA has all but confirmed an HTC Nexus 9 tablet packing its 64-bit Tegra K1 processor by mentioning the device in a lawsuit filed against Qualcomm and Samsung. The chip maker expects the tablet to begin shipping during the third quarter of 2014, and some believe it could be announced at HTC’s “Double Exposure” event on October 9.

Google’s much-anticipated Nexus 8, manufactured by HTC, could well be the most impressive Android device to date. Not only is it expected to look good, but a recent specifications leak suggests it will have a super-speedy 64-bit NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor and 4GB of RAM, blowing every other Android-powered tablet right out of the water.

A new Nexus tablet built by HTC has been pictured for the first time ahead of its official unveiling. Codenamed “Volantis,” the 8.9-inch device is expected to be one of the first with NVIDIA’s new 64-bit Tegra K1 processor. It also sports a gorgeous “aluminum zero-gap construction.”

Towards the end of last week, Google started rolling out the Android 4.4.4 update for the Nexus and Google Play edition devices. The update took many by surprise since the Internet giant had rolled out the much anticipated Android 4.4.3 update at the beginning of the month.

While the factory images for the Nexus devices are already up for download, Google is rolling out the OTA update in batches, which means that it won’t show up instantly on your device.
