Questionable photos of an alleged”One M9 Plus” suggest HTC is planning a larger, more exciting version of its next-generation flagship.

Unlike the original model, the Plus is claimed to have a Duo Camera on its back — like last year’s One M8 — and a physical home button with a built-in fingerprint scanner on its front.

The day pure Android fans have been dreading is finally here; the last remaining Google Play Edition smartphone — the HTC One M8 — has been removed from the Play Store, almost certainly confirming the end of Google’s program. The only pure Android smartphones you can buy from the search giant now are its own Nexus handsets.

The HTC One M8 was certainly one of the most beautiful Android-powered devices of 2014, and it seems its successor will be just as pretty. In fact, if these leaked photos are genuine, the One M9 will look almost identical to its predecessor, but its rear-facing camera will be redesigned to accommodate its larger sensor.

Wave goodbye to your removable batteries, Galaxy S fans, because it looks like Samsung could be ditching them for this year’s flagship. Sources say that the upcoming Galaxy S6 will have a high-end glass back panel similar to that of earlier iPhones or Sony’s Xperia Z devices, and you won’t be able to pull it off yourself.

If you’re an HTC fan, the upcoming One M9 may not be the only gadget you’ll want to splash the cash on in the coming months. According to sources familiar with the Taiwanese company’s plans, its first fitness-focused wearable will be unveiled alongside the One M9 at an event scheduled for March 1.
