Last month HTC unveiled its much-anticipated One Max, as a dramatically upscaled variant to the immensely popular high-end Android-powered smartphone, the HTC One, and now Verizon have officially announced that the phablet is available to purchase on any of its 2-year contracts starting at $299 or for $25.22 a month with Verizon’s very own Edge plan.

We’ve already seen some fuzzy snaps of the HTC M8, the upcoming success to the flagship HTC One, and now we have some specifications, too. A reliable source claims the device will offer a slightly larger 5-inch display with the same 1080p resolution, a Snapdragon 800 processor, and Android 4.4 KitKat right out of the box.

The HTC One will celebrate its first birthday next March, which is when we expect to see its successor. We don’t know much about that device at this point, but a new leak suggests that it will maintain its aluminum build and gain a fingerprint scanner like its super-sized sibling the HTC One max.

And now, today, an unlocked version of the phablet should be in stock at several U.K. independent retailers.
