The HTC One max has already been confirmed for Sprint and Verizon following its debut in the U.K. this month, but it appears the super-sized smartphone is also headed to AT&T. A press render that clearly shows the handset’s AT&T branding has been published online ahead of its official debut.

HTC finally unveiled the One max earlier this week following months of rumors and speculation, and the Taiwanese company said that the device will be “rolling out across the globe from mid-end October.” One place it won’t be visiting, however, is Canada — because they already have enough HTC devices to choose from, according to HTC.

HTC has finally announced the One max, its new flagship phablet that hopes to compete with the Galaxy Note 3 and other super-sized smartphones. As expected, the device boasts a 5.9-inch 1080p display, a speedy Snapdragon 600 processor, and a fingerprint scanner.

But it appears that the whole thing was completely fabricated. The press release that went out announcing the move was false, and both Samsung and FingerPrint Cards have denied the acquisition.

While the BlinkFeed feature on the latest HTC smartphones is a nice idea, the vast majority of people I know with an HTC device never use it — and we’d all love the option to disable it completely. Fortunately, it looks like that option will finally be introduced with Sense 5.5.

An HTC ROM maker has gotten their hands on the Sense 5.5 user interface ahead of its official release, and in addition to BlinkFeed changes, there’s a new “Do Not Disturb” mode to suspend notifications, new camera features, and plenty of other improvements throughout the system.
