The only images we’ve seen of the upcoming HTC One Max up to this point have been small and somewhat blurry hands-on pictures taken by those who have managed to obtain the device early. But the latest picture is a high-quality, “non-final” press shot believed to be from HTC.

But according to one HTC employee, it’s fake.

We know HTC is currently developing an HTC One Mini that will compete with the latest midrange devices like the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini. But new reports claim that the Taiwanese company is also working on a 6-inch HTC One Max phablet, which could take on Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Note III later this year.
