You know that Sony smartphone you bought for its “waterproof” form factor? Whatever you do, don’t take it under water.

Despite boasting about their water-resistance capabilities, opening underwater smartphone stores, and using promotional shots like the one above, Sony is now warning customers not to get its Xperia smartphones too wet.

Haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate.

Apple was reminded of this after its keynote on Wednesday when rivals Samsung and Sony took to Twitter to mock the length of its presentation — and its new iPhone 6s.

Sony chose to stick with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 chip for its new Xperia Z5 lineup, despite the obvious heat issues. But to ensure fans don’t have to suffer those again, Sony is using heat pipes and thermal paste to keep the Xperia Z5 cool.

Alongside its new Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Premium, Sony today unveiled the Xperia Z5 Compact, which offers smartphone shoppers flagship specifications inside a smaller form factor.

The Xperia Z5 Compact packs almost everything you get in its bigger brothers but combines it with a significantly smaller 4.7-inch display that allows it to be much easier to handle.

Sony today announced its new Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Premium, two devices that look a lot like their predecessors, but boast big improvements that’ll make the upgrade well worth it.

The Xperia Z5 premium is the first smartphone to put a 4K display in your pocket, while both devices pack “next-generation” cameras, fingerprint scanners, and two-day battery life.
