We first caught a glimpse of the smaller, cheaper HTC One back in early May when a leaked press shot made its way around the web, and today it’s getting shown off again alongside its big brother in a gallery of nice comparison shots.

HTC hasn’t actually confirmed the One Google Edition yet, but if recent rumors are to be believed, it‘s just a matter of time. Getting your hands on one when they finally do arrive, however, could be a little difficult.
According to “sources familiar with the matter,” supplies of the HTC One Google Edition will be extremely limited, and those who want one could be waiting a long time.
HTC has denied that it is working on a “Google Edition” HTC One with stock Android, but it seems the Taiwanese company may have simply been trying to cover it up.
Earlier this week, one source claimed such a device is in the works, and now the same claim — this time from multiple different sources — has started circulating again. According to the latest rumor, an HTC One with stock Android will be announced within the next two weeks.
HTC has this morning announced the new Desire 600, its second smartphone with the latest Sense 5 user interface. The Taiwanese company is aiming the device at the “mid-range market,” but it boasts some pretty high-end specifications, including a quad-core processor and an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera.
It also delivers a number of features that debuted with the flagship HTC One.
The HTC One may or may not steal marketshare from the Samsung Galaxy S4, but there’s one thing we can all agree on: It’s a stunning smartphone, and its premium aluminum build makes it one of the few Android-powered smartphones that can rival the iPhone’s build quality — as I noted back in February.
But as a high-end device, it is expensive. Fortunately, HTC appears to be bringing the One’s flagship design to a more affordable device with midrange specifications, as you can see from the leaked photo of the HTC M4 above.
